We service all three counties, and their towns, in all types of real estate transactions. This includes buying a home or selling, and commercial purchases and sales, mortgages and financing. As of March 1, 2005 all counties in the Province of Nova Scotia became subject to the Land Registration System. Properties which are transferred for value (not gifts), or upon subdivision, or upon using them for collateral for financing, MUST be converted to this new system.
The practice is that the vendor is responsible for the migration and its cost. The parties may agree otherwise. This should be taken into consideration when listing a property for sale and when agreeing to a purchase price.
Our basic fee for each PID (Property Identification Didget) which is migrated is $800.00 plus disbursements.
The migration process has two steps; one dealing with the description and the other dealing with title. Once the property is in the Land Registration system the Province of Nova Scotia certifies the title to subsequent purchasers. As this process can taken some time it is also important to take this into consideration when setting a closing date.

We offer services for partnerships, incorporations, business names and assistance to start up, operate and wind up of all types of business. Flat fee of $600.00 plus disbursements to do incorporation.
We offer legal assistance for both employees and employers in cases concerning employment contracts, sub-contracts, termination of employment, and wrongful dismissal.
